Community Leadership Responsibility to our community and neighbors is a core value at Arnold's Meats. As a purveyor of southern foods, we were felt a strong connection to those affected by the Gulf hurricanes of 2005. By donating a portion of our September sales, we hope that we were able to make a difference helping those whose homes and lives were devastated get back on track. In August, 2003, Arnold's once again proudly participated in the Harlem Week festival. Although the previous Friday's massive blackout cancelled Saturday's festivities, we opened our booth on Sunday to crowds of New Yorkers enjoying the day's events. The event was unfortunately shortened by thunderstorms, but not before Harlem showed its community pride with another spectacular street fair. Arnold's
helped Harlem celebrate its 100th anniversary by sponsoring the
2002 Harlem Festival. In honor of the event, Arnold's helped some
extraordinary local high school students by donating college scholarships.
At the 4-day fair itself, held right on the streets of Harlem, NY,
it was hard to miss the large Arnold's booth with long lines of
hungry fairgoers, where we were grilling sausages for the 500,000
people in attendance.
