Ingredients:
1 16oz. package Smoked
Hots or Red Hots Sausages, cooked and sliced*
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
2 chicken breasts, skinned and boned, cut into large dice
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh thyme
1 teaspoon ground oregano
1/2 teaspoon minced fresh basil
1/2 teaspoon crab boil seasoning
1/4 teaspoon salt
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 green pepper, medium diced
1 red pepper, medium diced
1 onion, large diced
2 celery ribs, medium diced
3 tomatoes, cleaned, peeled and seeded
1/4 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco® Sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 cup tomato sauce
2 cups chicken stock
1 cup long grain rice
1/2 pound fresh medium shrimp, peeled and cleaned
Directions:
Heat oil in stockpot or Dutch oven. Add sausage and chicken
and cook for 2 minutes. Add spices and garlic and cook
for 1 minute. Add vegetables and cook until tender. Add
flour; cook, stirring constantly for 1 minute. Add remaining
ingredients (except shrimp), cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
Add shrimp 10 minutes before serving. Serve in bowls as
a complete meal.
